It is said, according to the Persian legend, Whoever has an hourglass containing The Sands of Time will be able to reverse time. This hourglass is the gift of the gods can not be use carelessly. In the hands of good poeple, this hourglass can bring goodness. But in the hands of evil poeple who caused the destruction was not inconceivable.
The only poeple who can issue the 'sands of time' from the hourglass is Dastan (Jake Gyllenhall) who have the dagger of time. Dastan, the prince, not a bad man, but with the Vizier tricks (Gisli Orn Gardarsson), Dastan finally release 'sands of time' and the result is chaos everywhere.
Instantly destroyed the entire kingdom and its inhabitants turned into a scary monster. Safety around the world noe in the hands of Dastan. He must succesfully return 'the sands of time' into the hourglass and stop the destruction of the earth. Fortunately, the prince Dastan not alone. There's Princess Tamina (Gemma Arterton) who are willing to help in this noble mission.
